Types of Self-Care

Self-care is about taking steps to meet your physical, emotional, mental, and social needs. It involves simple habits, such as resting when feeling tired, seeking support when overwhelmed, or engaging in activities that bring joy. While self-care looks different for everyone, it’s a vital practice for staying balanced.
The Types of Self-Care poster introduces 7 key areas of self-care in an easy-to-understand format. It uses a bright design and includes examples for clients to learn how they can take good care of their minds, bodies, and emotions in everyday life. Some examples include exercising, establishing boundaries, and taking breaks.
This poster can inspire kids and teens to reflect on how they treat themselves and encourage healthier choices. For instance, it might remind them to rest after a busy day, spend quality time with their loved ones, or try activities that bring comfort and peace.
Caring adults can use this poster as a starting point for creating personalized self-care plans. They can also host group activities, like journaling or crafting a "self-care jar," filled with ideas to try during moments of stress or overwhelm.
