Managing Stress With Forgiveness Handout

$3.00
Translation missing: en.products.product.view_full_details

Forgiveness is the intentional decision to let go of resentment and other negative emotions towards oneself and other people who may have caused an offense. It can manifest in different ways, such as accepting one’s limitations and choosing not to dwell on the past. Research shows that individuals who show greater levels of forgiveness experience lower stress levels.

The Managing Stress with Forgiveness Handout starts by introducing some research on the topic. The second part offers practical strategies to embrace forgiveness, as well as tips to make it more fun (e.g., creating forgiveness stars and drawing). To motivate clients to actively engage in the process, they can use the “forgiveness pledge” at the bottom of the handout.

Practicing forgiveness leads to healthier relationships, improved physical health, and increased self-esteem. For kids and teens who’ll benefit from an activity on self-forgiveness, we recommend checking out our Self-Forgiveness Worksheet.

This handout is included in our 39-page Stress Management Handouts Bundle along with many more strategies to experience stress relief.
