Benefits of Physical Activity

Participating in physical activities is important for all ages. It plays a key role in keeping both the body and mind healthy. Thankfully, more individuals are getting involved in exercise and enjoying its benefits.
The Benefits of Physical Activity handout is a great tool designed to encourage clients to make exercise a regular part of their routine. It includes four sections: the first one shows the immediate benefits of exercise; the second one explains long-term benefits; the third one offers tips on how to stay motivated; and the final section gives facts on how much exercise is needed to stay healthy without overdoing it.
By using this handout, young people can learn to balance their physical activity and enjoy both short-term and long-term benefits. As they become more aware, they can choose activities they like or try new sports that challenge them.
Caring adults can help by suggesting different activities. They might consider setting up a daily step goal or a fun “fitness challenge,” and then celebrate progress to keep kids motivated.
