Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

Maslow’s hierarchy of needs explains how different needs—from basic survival to personal growth—can impact a person’s well-being. It teaches that to live a fulfilling life, clients must first meet basic needs before focusing on higher goals like self-growth and personal achievements.
The Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs poster illustrates the five levels of human needs: basic needs, safety, belonging, self-esteem, and self-actualization. Using a triangle design, it shows how each level builds upon the one below, helping clients understand the importance of meeting each need in order. The poster also includes simple examples.
This poster can help young people think about their personal needs and figure out which areas need more focus in their life. It also helps remind them that balancing immediate needs with long-term goals is essential.
Parents and teachers can use this poster as a tool to guide kids and teens in understanding their needs and setting achievable goals. They can suggest activities like creating vision boards or writing down their goals for self-improvement.
