Depression coping statements are the things you tell yourself to help you get through hard times. Examples of these statements include “I am worthy of happiness or healing” and “I am capable of doing hard things.” Kids, teens, and adults with depression are encouraged to use these coping statements anytime they start having negative emotions.
This handout can be used by anyone who’s dealing with depression. Feel free to print it, laminate it, and hang it on the wall of your home, office, or classroom — or you can give it as a handout or gift to someone who can benefit from coping statements.
