My Gratitude Walk Worksheet
A gratitude walk is a simple exercise where clients learn to pay attention to their surroundings and appreciate the things around them. It's different from a regular walk because it allows them to actively express gratitude for what they see and experience. This practice is becoming more common as a way to increase mindfulness and positivity in daily life.
The My Gratitude Walk Worksheet instructs clients to take a 10 to 15-minute walk daily and reflect on things they are thankful for, which they can then record on the worksheet. They are also encouraged to take slow, deep breaths during their walk, and focus on their senses.
Answering this worksheet helps kids and teens feel happier and more satisfied with their lives as they become increasingly aware of what they currently have. Before the walk, be sure to explain the purpose of the activity. To add excitement and variety, let the child take pictures of the things they’re grateful for and create a gratitude photo journal.
Our All About Gratitude handout is a nice introduction to the topic.
