Body Positive Affirmations Poster
Body image positive affirmations are statements individuals write or say to counteract negative thoughts and have a healthier relationship with their bodies. These affirmations usually emphasize appreciation and acceptance of one's physical self. They are increasingly popular among young people, as supported by research showing a positive trend towards increased self-love and body acceptance.
The Body Positive Affirmations Poster helps clients value and appreciate their bodies beyond mere looks. It includes 12 affirmations that promote self-respect, confidence, and gratitude towards one's body. Moreover, it’s adorned with heart-shaped designs symbolizing love and acceptance!
Encouraging children and teens to affirm one thing they appreciate about their bodies each day can shift their focus from insecurities to strengths. In addition to using the poster, caring adults can suggest that they create a self-love board, where they write more daily affirmations. They can also suggest group activities that actively combat body shaming, such as art projects celebrating diverse body shapes and sizes.
This poster pairs well with our Self-Esteem Coping Statements or Daily Affirmations Handout.
