Exploring Emotions Worksheet
Kids can sometimes experience difficulties at home or in school. Whatever they’re experiencing, it’s important to check how they’re feeling. An emotional check-in is an opportunity for them to pause and assess their emotions at that particular moment. Are they happy? Calm? Worried? Nervous?
Parents, teachers, social workers, and mental health professionals can download and print this Emotions Check-In worksheet to help a child name their emotions and identify the thoughts, feelings, and actions associated with their experience. This worksheet is based on the CBT triangle.

Great to use to identifying and discuss thoughts, feelings, actions through a wonderful cbt format. As an Art therapist, I can really appreciate the visuals in the worksheet. It provides a tangible example for kids - as well as non-threatening visuals. Thank you!
