The Alphabet of Self-Esteem

Different factors like stress at home, social media, school pressure, and peer influence can take a huge toll on a child's self-esteem. To address this issue, clients need to develop positive strategies that help them strengthen their self-worth.
The Alphabet of Self-Esteem Handout uses the letters of the alphabet (A to Z) to represent helpful strategies to build self-esteem, like asking for help, being creative, and avoiding negative self-talk.
Reviewing this handout every day can help young people feel good about themselves and overcome rejection or criticism. Caring adults can display the handout in a prominent spot, such as on a bedroom wall or refrigerator, to remind kids to reflect on these steps regularly.
