Interpersonal Effectiveness Coping Statements Worksheet

$1.50
Translation missing: en.products.product.view_full_details

Interpersonal effectiveness coping statements are things you can say to yourself when going through an interpersonal conflict. These affirmations usually focus on emotion regulation, social awareness, and interpersonal effectiveness.

The Interpersonal Effectiveness Coping Statements Worksheet includes positive statements, such as “I will never please everyone and that’s okay” and “I will forgive in order to move forward.” Clients will find three empty thought bubbles, which serve as spaces to write down encouraging statements to manage their emotions and be assertive in their relationships.

When kids and teens focus on these positive affirmations and write new ones that resonate with them, they can be reminded of their strengths. After completing the worksheet, they can carry it with them in case they need little reminders throughout the day. It’s also helpful to have discussions about the new affirmations they wrote and what they mean to them.

We suggest that they keep the worksheet in a visible place at home, so they can easily access the sheet anytime. This worksheet can be combined with our Interpersonal Effectiveness Coping Statements handout to explore more positive coping statements.
