Forgiveness Worksheets (2 Pages)

Forgiveness doesn’t always come easily, especially when the emotional pain is recent or the hurt runs deep. But choosing to forgive can lighten emotional weight, bring peace, and open the door to healing. Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting or excusing what happened—it means acknowledging the hurt while still choosing a path forward.

The Forgiveness Worksheets are made up of two complementary worksheets. Understanding Forgiveness instructs clients to mark sentences that describe forgiveness, identify its benefits, and reflect on certain behaviors that show forgiveness or unforgiveness. Forgiveness Reflection encourages them to complete a reflection activity by recalling a time when they forgave someone.

As kids and teens complete each part of the worksheets, they begin to understand that forgiveness is something they can choose or practice. To help make forgiveness a shared value, caring adutls can introduce a regular “reset moment”—a designated time during the day or week when people can talk things through, clear misunderstandings, or start fresh.

These worksheets can be paired with our All About Forgiveness handout, which provides an additional mode of learning.
