How My Self-Esteem Changes
Sometimes, self-esteem can fluctuate based on a person’s environment, social interactions, and challenges they may encounter. Without self-awareness, they might internalize negative experiences and undermine their self-confidence. Recognizing these factors is important for any individual, especially young clients.
The How My Self-Esteem Changes worksheet encourages clients to reflect on the situations that impact how they currently feel about themselves and write it on the box provided. They can also rate their self-esteem on a scale from 0 to 10, identify what affects their emotions, and, most importantly, note the things that make them feel good.
Understanding changes in their self-esteem using this worksheet can help kids and teens regulate their emotions, practice coping strategies, and feel more in control. After answering the worksheet, they can explore practices like keeping a gratitude journal to focus on positive aspects of their lives or setting aside time for hobbies they enjoy.
Parents and teachers can motivate them to complete this worksheet daily and discuss their insights together. To make the process more meaningful, they may set aside time for regular check-ins.
