Accepting Differences Worksheets (3 Pages)

Accepting differences doesn’t always come naturally, especially for young people who are still learning social dynamics. They may shy away from what feels unfamiliar or stay silent when they witness exclusion. Understanding, respecting, and embracing what makes each person unique is a powerful, lifelong skill.
The Accepting Differences Worksheets include two pages: Celebrating Our Differences and Building Acceptance Together. Celebrating Our Differences walks clients through activities that help them reflect on their own identity, then explore common differences they may encounter in everyday life. Building Acceptance Together deepens their understanding of exclusion and inclusion and asks them to identify action steps they can take to show acceptance.
Answering these worksheets helps kids and teens become more aware of how their actions affect those around them. Once these worksheets are complete, they can create an “Acceptance Wall” — a space where classmates, friends, or siblings can post something unique about themselves or someone else to encourage celebration of individual differences.
These worksheets pair well with our All About Acceptance And Diversity handout.
