Patience Worksheets (2 Pages)

Patience plays a big role in how people handle everyday situations — from waiting their turn to dealing with delays, setbacks, or other people’s behaviors. It’s not always easy to stay calm when things don’t happen right away, but learning how to pause, breathe, and respond with care instead of frustration is a skill worth building. With guidance and practice, anyone can learn to become more patient and make it part of how they handle stress.

The Patience Worksheets include two activity pages. The Practicing Patience worksheet helps users understand what patience looks like by reflecting on common situations, then challenges them to think of their own strategies. The My Patience Journey worksheet is more personal — clients answer questions about when they’ve been patient or impatient, identify role models, and explore coping strategies to improve their patience. The final part encourages them to create a simple plan for how they want to practice patience moving forward.

After completing these worksheets, kids and teens can start to see patience as an active choice. A helpful next step is to create a “patience pause plan,” where they list three quick things they can do when they feel triggered or restless.

These worksheets pair well with our All About Patience handout.
